This Site Is For Unique Property Bulletin Readers To:

Increase Your

Funding Power

Now we dive straight into the first of 12 ways we have found that are proven to work for FUNDING the purchase of a unique home.

If our broken-toy of an editor can do this!

Then surely you have a very good chance too?

DISCUSSING MONEY VAN GEEL A BIT INTRUSIVE. BUT FOR FULL DISCLOSURE

Discussing personal finances can feel intrusive. But this website requires forensic details somthat our readers can get the best from real life examples here.

For credibility, if we are working to inspire our readers that the various ways of raising funds that we test are truly possible, then in good faith, being forensically transparent with finances is crucial.

Hopefully, our good luck may well rub off to our readers benefit too.

Just £5 A Year To Rent This Old Wreck In 1983

Care To Guess What The Final Value of That £5 Became?

^^ This Became A Proper Unique Home ^^
It cost Russ McLean a nominal lease payment of just
£5 (five pounds) per year.

The Catch?
The agreement required Russ McLean to make the
derelict building… “wind and watertight.” Cost? £1,959.

With hindsight, this small island and off-grid way of life gave some of the happiest times in an entire adult life (weddings, birthdays, births etc., ranking higher).

Most folk just wish for an affordable home and crucially a way to FUND that. This sister website to Unique Property Bulletin has been designed to make FUNDING easier and homes more AFFORDABLE for YOU too.

The microscopic 2p a day to lease this Old Coastguard Station on Davaar Island resulted in £39,751 of rent/mortgage savings being squirrel away.

What you see here, on this front page right now is an evolving (yet to be completed) part of the first chapter in what is effectively an update version of the 2012 Unique Property Manual. But this new edition is for you and for free…

This Website Will Have The New Manual

For You For Free ~ Chapter By Chapter

During The Coming Months

Since we began these real-world unique home renovation projects to spice up the articles in Unique Property Bulletin in the mid 1990s there is and has been a determination to “get the job done”.

So far the totals have been worked out by our book~keeper from a lot of deeds she has gathered and gone through with a keen eye for fact (and HM Land Registry Deed) based detail…

^^  You May Have Seen This Before ^^

But what you are unlikely to have seen is one of the missing jigsaw pieces between the £5 annual cost of the Old Coastguard Station and the current grand totals that helped to make all of the “Dare To Hope” summary box above happen.

Our managing director has only managed the pain and unresolved grief, to look inside the box that came from his late father a handful of times since his dad died in 2007.

As part of checking the source~of~funds that the McLeans established decades ago ~ a philanthropic trust (son would not take money from father), the numbers were getting out of proportion to a very modest lifestyle lived by the dad.

Then during October 2026, whilst researching the source~of~funds that are relevant to this website and several buildings, an old letter from father to son reminded the younger McLean of visits as a teenager to where his dad lived…

This brought back memories of not one, but two houses where the son, Glasgow born McLean Jnr., (this website’s editor). Russ used to travel to see his dad in London during reconciliation in later years.

For any of our readers who are determined to become property sleuths, the propensity for London house prices to defy gravity will become apparent if you deploy some of your property finding and valuing skills…

15 Eaton Place, London Looks Like A Nice Apartment

The Balcony Was An Odd Place To Sit: Views of A Street Rather Than The Sea

.

^^ To Russ, This Just Looked Like A Nice Apartment ^^

There was a palpable gasp of shock in the lighthouse study at Tod Head, when the London address of 15 Eaton Place was run through Rightmove’s price facility.

By checking history and utilising the toolbox of useful items, such as Rightmove price history, some answers were discovered that had been causing profound unease for decades at where some funds had originated…

For full disclosure, this explains, almost 30 years after Russ McLean bought a home fairly near to his dad, how the £39,000 deposit from Davaar Island got a guardian angel “Bank of Dad” boost.

You might be wondering why this digression from a £5 per annum home 555 miles to the north of a six figure home of father and a six figure home of son has any relevance to you?

A significant portion of those ringfenced funds have been made available to help our readers as per terms agreed between father and son.

Those philanthropic funds still do and are likely to continue assisting our readers.

Another facility from our Unique Property Toolbox is to make good use of Google 3D to wander around the neighbourhood.

The first house of our editor’s dad in London was easier to find as Russ could remember the place he used to visit more often (than 15 Eton Place) was a house at Kensington Court. Though it had been 20 years since the last time in London and even this took an hour to find (virtually)…

^^ London Property Prices Really Do ^^
Vary Astronomically Depending On Postcode

It is fair to say that by opening that inherited box of old War War 2 medals has knocked our editor of this publication, six foot sideways.

Maybe just as well there were medical appointments to attend (as a distraction).

If you ever inherit an old box full of your mum or dad’s stuff, it might be painful, but it may also be a responsible thing to go through the contents of that box. At least once grief has abated.

For the crew here at Unique Property Bulletin, two of whom have known Russ since their teenage years, that box and the discovery of where significant sums of money have originated, appear to help lay some proverbial family ghosts.

For reasons himself may write about, there was an understanding between Russ and his dad, that the money Mr McLean Snr., insisted sending to his son would go directly to the kids and  grandkids, whilst the larger sums would go into a philanthropic trust.

To this day, other than the house deposit assist, Russ will not touch a penny of that money.

Given recent events requiring hospital visits, it has been  drummed into all of us here at Unique Property HQ, the D&R Angels’ Share funds must not be used for family matters.

To him it does not feel right. Not in a bad way. But the reconciliation had not been completed at the time of Mr McLean Snr’s demise in 2007. We are all aware that in August every year, Russ is given the grace of peace and quiet.

When his father passed away, none of his sons were aware and as a consequence not one of his four sons was able to be with him. There is of course more to all of this. But those of us here in this “succession” phase of Russ going into semi-retirement still treat the matter with respect.

The main reason for mentioning this is that there are funds in trust accounts which we were not sure of.

There is now some certainty as to what those funds are from and hence what projects they might be deployed towards…

All of this “source~of~funds” protocol matters when a bank is established.

All of this may seem a bit random.

Right up until you see the buildings owned and the bank statements accrued across 40 years. With this incredibly obscure publication as a steadfast sanctuary insofar as that Old Coastguard Station was.

The difference between a £5 per year home on a distant island, and a home in London at orbital sale figures carries with it a canvas of ideas, redolent with the possibility of being brought to life.

Without The London Funds, There Were Already Big Sky Adventures Completed By Unique Property Members

So now that the surce of a chhunk of funds can be traced, there are likely to be new adventures taking place that hitherto were at the very top end of what would be wise to spend.

Back onto the main topic…

This New FUNDING Website

The good news is around 95% of this new website architecture is now complete.

Better news is that we appear, thanks to an old family heirloom box leading to an explanation for “source of funds” that this organisation ma, in fact, have enough cash to buy some Unique Property Bulletin offices in southern England and a French office…

The serious temptation for re-opening an office in England is Wolferton Railway Station.

That is one of the problems with the Unique Property Bulletin.

Every now and then, someone makes such an exquisite job of renovating a set of buildings, that you just fall in love with them…

If, or rather WHEN you have the money, would you buy this place…

So Which of The 12 Funding Ways Is This Page?

Simple answer, we would suggest a combination with…

A]. Saving as big a deposit as possible.

Plus…

B]. Some help from the “Bank of Mum & Dad.”

Not every method is suitable for every reader.

But in this case, some of our HNW crew members have been buying up old, closed bank branches (the buildings, not the banking companies).

Why?

Because two of our U-HNWs are keen to explore a reverse takeover of a small bank (more efficient and faster to acquire the banking licene etc) and then return local banking to the communities the industry are supposed to be part of. Crucially with real, human bank managers that are able to take logical human-to-human decisions on finance.

Rather than have thousands of closed-down banks leaving financial deserts and a bank-phone which is never answered. With an AI chatbot telling you if the computer will let you have a mortgage.

This sort of banking crap…

There is certainly one mischief maker that is on board with getting the banking industry fit for purpose. This cannot be over emphasised at this time, when thousands of bank branches are being closed down and costing hundreds of thousands of jobs because…

The UK banking industry is no longer fit for purpose

Do you have a view about banks and mortgages? Please let us know (here).

^^ After Closing 3 Banks Branches It Is Evident ^^
The Banking Industry Are
Failing Older, Disabled Customers

Newsflash...

Every single human being either gets old,
or disabled or both, so finding a solution to
make retail banking fit for purpose
will affect you.

The Fundig Website Relaunch

With respect to the marathon architectural build and photograph population plus coherent narrative of this new website’s front page…

With the website now in existence and an inexorable march for each page (especially the financials), ee can get to work back across at Unique Property BULLETIN’s relaunch.

No more deadlines, not launch dates as medical decrepitude takes no prisoners.

We are restarting he regular UPDATES across at our Unique Property BULLETIN page.

Around 1st November you are likely to notice a FOCUS on what our readers have told us they want…

1]. Simple sets of unique property details and lots of them.

2]. Ways to beat the Rightmove rush… to have the detective skillsets to FIND unique property BEFORE it comes to market and the price sky rockets.

3]. Ways to FUND the purchase of what might appear an impossible dream.

We can do ALL of that for you.

As for this page… it will be completed in the next few days.

***********

Last but not least, we cannot emphasise that this website is about…

FUNDS

Without the money to buy, or enough to purchase the actual property you love, then this is just a cruel website and we ain’t into that.

So we shall also be illustrating and proving answers to the main points above and more, so that YOU can…

1]. Be first to find buildings that are off-market and sitting ready to be part of a great deal. For you?

2]. Avoid being gazumped.

3]. Reduce your mortgage to zero. Sooner.

4]. Save on the price you pay for your home.

5]. Have direct access to the HNWs that own this website and the 20 buildings owned right now. Plus how that happened with not need for any mortgage?

If you have any doubts, this website and indeed the owners, all of whom are officially listed, provide gold~standard proof.

How? See the guy in the next photo below this paragraph? He is our editor. If you look carefully at the photograph, you will see a hat located above his right hand.

Guess what happens when you combine a police detective and a property organisation? A lot of money happens. Even better, if you can learn the same property~detective skillset.

Oh and remember at the top of this page we invited you to…
